Titanic Museum Celebrates German Culture with Woodcarving Event

thegrandstaircase11This October 9 through 11, Branson’s Titanic Museum will be hosting its second annual woodcarving event. This unique event is set to honor the culture of the Titanic’s German passengers and will feature professional woodcarvers as they display their craft over the course of the weekend. LogHoggers Chainsaw Sculpting is working in association with the Titanic Museum to put on the event, adding professional credibility. Currently, the woodcarving event is set to be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission to the woodcarving event is free of charge.

Those that would like to learn more about the event can visit the Titanic Museum’s official website.

As for the Titanic Museum itself, it will be open throughout the three day duration of the woodcarving event and offers an insightful look into the tragedy through a variety of authentic artifacts, exhibits and hands-on experiences. From the moment you “board” the museum you will find that much effort has gone into providing an accurate, human back-story to the many people that were a part of the experience, offering a better understanding of the impact the sinking of the Titanic had.

Those interested in experiencing the Titanic Museum during the woodcarving event can order admission to the museum online.
