Branson Shows Are Time-Warp Back to the 50s

If you were lucky enough to grow up in the 50s or 60s then you remember the incredible music that was born during those decades. If you were born a little later, there’s still a good chance that you’ve heard some of the music second-hand. Either way, it’s hard not to love the music that came out of this era in American history.

There are a few Branson shows that take you back to that beloved time the moment you walk into their theater. The music in this show is nothing but the greatest hits of the 50s, including “Hand Jive,” “La Bamba,” and “He’s a Rebel.” Sing along as the Rockin’ Hop Band swoons the Hoppettes dance troupe with great music and awesome dancing. Last Chance to See Peter Pan the Musical

If you haven’t seen Peter Pan the Musical at the Mansion Theatre in Branson, you’re missing out! This show has wowed audiences on Broadway for years, and it has finally come to Branson. The cast will amaze your family from beginning to end with awesome flying and aerial stunts, incredible vocal talent, and high-energy dance numbers.

The show stars the great Cathy Rigby as Peter Pan. Although Rigby is in her 50′s you won’t believe it for a minute. Throughout the she is jumping off set pieces, flying through the air, and dancing with as much energy as the twenty-somethings in the cast. Rigby’s performance is possibly the best in her long career, making this a must-see show!

The show is only open until December 12, and then it will close in Branson. If you were planning to take the little ones to see it, you need to hurry. There is a 3 PM and 8 PM show every Saturday and an 8 PM show each weeknight. If that is a pushing your little one’s bedtime, there is also a 3 PM show most Wednesdays.
