This October 9 through 11, Branson’s Titanic Museum will be hosting its second annual woodcarving event. This unique event is set to honor the culture of the Titanic’s German passengers and will feature professional woodcarvers as they display their craft over the course of the weekend. LogHoggers Chainsaw Sculpting is working in association with the Titanic Museum to put on the event, adding professional credibility. Currently, the woodcarving event is set to be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission to the woodcarving event is free of charge.

On Friday, September 25, Branson Landing will feature the last concert of the 2009 Concert Series. The Concert Series Grand Finale Event begins at 8 p.m. at Branson Landing’s Town Square, and the fireworks spectacular presented by the American Pyrotechnics Association begins after the concert.

After an international poll performed by the Amusement Today newspaper, Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri received several awards for its performance in the theme park industry.

The Golden Ticket Awards were held September 10 at LEGOLAND in Carlsbad, California and were hosted by Amusement Today. The awards give top honors in a range of categories to theme parks across the United States.

On September 17 through 20, the State of the Ozarks Fiddler’s Association will be hosting the Bob Walsh Memorial Fiddler’s Convention at Compton Ridge Campground.

The Compton Ridge Campground is located just outside of Branson and features sites for RV as well as tent camping. The convention will take place in the main campgrounds. Branson’s hottest tribute show, Legends in Concert, has announced its Fall 2009 lineup. The cast of performers changes four times a year.
