The fall’s annual Woodcarving Event at the Titanic Museum in Branson gives tribute to the Titanic’s German passengers and crew, and you won’t be disappointed as you watch the wood carvers use chainsaws to cut out beautiful images and wood sculptures right outside the Titanic Museum in its parking area. Special techniques will be used to carve the exact image the sculptors would like to create, and there is special recognition given to the winner of the contest. In a city like Branson, MO where unique talents and crafts are cherished, the 26th Annual Spring Woodcarving Rendezvous Seminar is a fantastic event to participate in. This event will be taking place at the Compton Ridge Campground from June 6th to June 11th and welcomes everyone from the most advanced carvers to beginners. If you’ve never tried woodcarving before, this seminar is your chance to learn how to start and get to see some talented wood carvers in action.
The woodcarving event features both wood carving and wood burning techniques for everyone to study. The classes will be taking place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with some after hours carving activities going on for those who would like to stay longer. The classes will be in an air conditioned building that will be locked at night in order to keep your woodcarving tools safe and secure for you.
On June 6th, the traditional Rendezvous Pig Roast is planned for those who would like to participate. This kicks off the seminar in style and allows woodcarvers from past years to meet up with old friends and make new friends. Door prizes are just a part of the excitement that you can expect at this part of the event. It will be five days of fun with people who share a common interest.

This October 9 through 11, Branson’s Titanic Museum will be hosting its second annual woodcarving event. This unique event is set to honor the culture of the Titanic’s German passengers and will feature professional woodcarvers as they display their craft over the course of the weekend. LogHoggers Chainsaw Sculpting is working in association with the Titanic Museum to put on the event, adding professional credibility. Currently, the woodcarving event is set to be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission to the woodcarving event is free of charge.

As for the Titanic Museum itself, it will be open throughout the three day duration of the woodcarving event and offers an insightful look into the tragedy through a variety of authentic artifacts, exhibits and hands-on experiences.
