Branson Zipline and Canopy Tours Unveils the Gift Shop

After months of waiting, Branson Zipline and Canopy Tours has finally unveiled their gift shop to the public. This gift shop gives guests the opportunity to take home t-shirts, mugs, and other great souvenirs to remember their time at one of Branson’s hottest new attractions.

The gift shop is a beautiful construction that fits in perfectly with its surroundings in the Ozark Mountains. The front porch resembles a traditional Amish porch with lovely wood columns and rustic wooden benchs for guests to relax on as well as a huge back porch where guests can watch their friends finish the Blue Streak fast line or just enjoy the beauty of nature.

The inside of the gift shop is a work of art with its charming storefronts and lovely array of items to choose from. Guests will find children’s toys, zip line t-shirts, jewelry, and many other items on display to look through and purchase. There is even an entire corner devoted to Amish goods that guests can take home with them. You will find that there is something for everyone at this gift shop!

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Shepherd of the Hills

Shepherd of the Hills Historic Homestead and Old Mill Theatre is about to celebrate 50 years of wonderful shows and history on August 6th and they’re doing it by adding an impressive new addition to the homestead, the ZipRider.  Harold Bell Wright might not have imagined the new addition in his book “Shepherd of the Hills,” but it certainly is a fun way to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Shepherd of the Hills Homestead.

The ZipRider is one of many exciting additions to the Branson, MO area. Unlike a zip line, the ZipRider is a hands-free ride with a seat for you to sit on. The ZipRider begins at the top of Inspiration Tower for awe-inspiring views of the Ozark Mountains. After much consideration, the owners of the ZipRider decided to name their new ride the Vigilante ZipRider.

Another exhilarating addition to the Branson area is the Branson Zipline and Canopy Tours. With four daytime tour options and two evening tour options, Branson Zipline and Canopy Tour offers many different types of tours to guests. Tours range from being thirty minutes long to two and a half hours long, so they fit into any schedule. These tours are a great way to see the incredible beauty of the Ozark Mountains and get some unforgettable thrills!

Ozark Empire Fair Brings Entertainment Back to Springfield, MO

There is nothing like the fair for hot summer fun and entertainment. The Ozark Empire Fair brings all of that excitement to Springfield, MO each year,  and it’s almost time for the fair to come back to town. July 30th to August 8th, the fair will be up and running at the Ozarks Empire Fairgrounds. Wonderful concerts, great rides, competitions, and delicious food are just a few of things you can expect to enjoy at the fair.

This year’s fair performers will be better than ever with thrilling artists like Kellie Pickler, KC and the Sunshine Band, and Finger Eleven scheduled to perform. Pacesetter Awards Sings Its Praises of the Branson Gospel Music Convention

Branson is known as the Midwest music entertainment capital and is widely recognized as being a huge contributor to all forms of country and gospel music. This year, Branson is having its Second Annual Branson Gospel Music Convention. This convention was give the Pacesetter Award in its first year for raising the bar for the gospel music industry. This year, the event is going to be just as exciting and cutting edge as it was last year. From June 28th to July 2nd, this convention will be hosting many events and shows featuring gospel music.

This year’s performers include some awesome favorites and up and coming stars like the Blackwood Quartet, Melody Boys, Kenny Bishop, Jericho, and several other wonderful musicians and bands. Each day, a new concert with new gospel talent will be hitting the stage. In addition to the concerts, the convention also will be hosting the SGN Scoop Diamond Awards to award those who have made special contributions to the gospel music industry. The convention will even be giving people a chance to enter the music industry with the HIS Choice Talent Music Search. It’s an opportunity to get a singing spot at the Diamond awards and get your gospel musical talents heard!

Black Oak Amphitheater Re-Opens After 10 Years

10 years ago, the Black Oak Amphitheater closed its doors. On March 30th, the amphitheater will have its first show in a decade. The theater has been through extensive renovations and is now focused on continuing the tradition of bringing incredible performers to Branson since 1983. The 7,000 seats of the theater will certainly be filled as soon as people find out some of the incredible musicians lined up to play in the theater in March and June.

Talented performers John Michael Montgomery and Lee Greenwood start the opening off with a bang  with their show and fireworks on Memorial Day Sunday. Other great musicians who will be following these performers in the month of June include Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, Foreigner, Styx, Kansas, Pat Benatar, REO Speedwagon, and even BB King. The wide range of genres and musical talent is sure to have more people than ever flocking to the Black Oak Amphitheater.

Plumb Nellie Days

Branson, Missouri is a town of grand traditions, and Plumb Nellie Days is one tradition they’ve celebrated since the year 1960. On Plumb Nellie Days, Branson took an “anything goes attitude” and citizens were allowed to dress and act strangely without so much of a lifted eyebrow from their neighbors. Historic downtown Branson will be hosting the event this year from May 21st to May 23rd. This year, you can be a part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Plumb Nellie Days.

This year, the event is an arts and crafts festival. Come and browse through over 200 vendor’s creative works. Handmade items like quilts, wood carvings, hats, ironwork, purses, and more will be available for you to look through. Even if you choose not to buy anything, it’s fun just to take a look at what people are able to create. There will be food vendors for everyone to get refreshments from when they’re taking a break from the arts and crafts.

FLW Outdoors Fishing Competition Returns to Branson, MO

FLW Outdoors Fishing Competition Returns to Branson, MO

The Forrest L. Wood Outdoors Fishing Competition, also known as the FLW Outdoors Fishing Competition, is coming to Branson, Missouri. The tournament will take place March 3rd through the 6th at the majestic Table Rock Lake. The natural beauty of the lake as well as the great fishing the lake has to offer is sure to make the competition enjoyable for those who enter it.

The competition will be for professional fishers as well as co-anglers. There is a $4,000 entry fee, which must be paid before being eligble to start fishing. Though the entry fee may seem expensive, the prizes to be won are great. The money prize for the first place winner on the professional level is $100,000. The prize money is projected on the assumption at least 150 boats will be in the competition. No more than 160 boats will be allowed to enter.

For everyone not participating in the fishing event, the entire Table Rock State Park Marina is closed. No one will be allowed to fish within 50 feet of any Commercial Marinas. For those entered or entering the fishing competition, good luck and happy fishing!

Women’s Veteran Week Returns to Branson, MO!

Branson will be hosting its Annual Women’s Veteran Week this year from May 19 – 24. The celebration typically features a week filled with activities and celebrations specifically geared around America’s many women veterans with past events having included Women Golf Day at Thousand Hills Golf Resort and various Meet and Greets.

And while hotel space certainly becomes limited during Women’s Veteran Week, that’s not to say that you’re out of luck if you’ve yet to make reservations. From campgrounds to motor inns to condo rentals, there is still a number of lodging options left even if you plan on staying in town for the entire week.
